It All Started with a Personal Search
I wanted to find a pair of size 13 flip-flops that went beyond conventional designs. After an unsuccessful search and consulting with experts and manufacturers in Brazil and Taiwan, we discovered an opportunity to create something new.




Thus was born—a brand that combines style, quality, and local manufacturing. The name comes from guayaba (guava), a tropical fruit that symbolizes freshness and authenticity. Each design reflects the Caribbean spirit and the freedom to walk in comfort without sacrificing style.
Rafael “Fito” Mora Laclaustra

Rafael Mora Laclaustra is a Puerto Rican entrepreneur with a strong background in business creation and development. At just 18 years old, he founded his first company, importing and distributing parts for race cars, and has since successfully explored multiple industries
A graduate in Business Administration from the University of Puerto Rico, he spent over a decade in his family’s technology business before launching his own construction company in 2006. Over the course of his career, he has developed six businesses in different sectors, excelling in sales, marketing, and business management.
He lives in San Juan, Puerto Rico, with his wife and two children, sharing a passion for gastronomy and wine.
